Wychavon Student Wind Band

Spring Term Rehearsals 11, 25 January 8 February 8, 22 March Workshop 20&21 February

Wychavon Student Wind Band is a community band aimed at beginners and intermediate students of all ages. Any one who has been learning for about year and can play and read at least an octave should be good enough to join. There may be opportunities for higher ability students to play solo parts and there are simplified flute, clarinet and cornet/trumpet parts for those who need them! This is also an opportunity for any adults who used to play a woodwind or brass instrument to return to playing! A number of instruments are available for loan or hire and tuition can be arranged if required. We rehearse in Harvington Village Hall 3pm until 5pm every other Sunday afternoon. Spring term rehearsals start on Sunday 8 January. We will be holding a 2-day workshop Friday 20 and Saturday 21 February 2009. This event aims to provide an oppportunity for beginners and intermediate players to have fun playing together with special sessions for those who have little or no previous experience of playing in an ensemble.
